Hey, I’m Bonnie Winthrop!
Ever since I was in 3rd grade, I dreamed of being a teacher. My passion for helping kids learn and grow has always been at the heart of everything I do. For years, I poured my energy into my classroom, building connections and celebrating those “lightbulb moments” with my students.
But deep down, I knew I wanted to reach even more young learners—beyond the walls of a single classroom.
That’s why I decided to branch out and bring my teaching online. Now, I get to work with incredible students from all over the world, helping them unlock their creativity, build confidence, and discover just how much fun writing can be.

Why I Created the Learning Launchpad Writing Club:
Over my 25 years as an educator, I’ve consistently heard families express the same concern: their children need more support with writing, whether it’s building confidence, understanding the process, or simply having a safe place to practice. Since COVID, these challenges have only intensified, with many parents sharing that their child is struggling more than ever and they don’t know where to turn.
I created the Learning Launchpad Writing Club to meet this growing need and provide meaningful, consistent writing support beyond the classroom. My goal was to design a space where every child—regardless of grade level or experience—feels encouraged, supported, and capable. The club offers fun, low-pressure, real-life writing practice that helps reduce anxiety and allows students to truly enjoy writing. Ultimately, this program is about helping children build confidence and find their voice, not just in school, but in life.

“Have You Met the Winner Twins?”
Brittany and Brianna—the Winner Twins—were in my third grade class, and even back then, I knew there was something remarkable about them. Their creativity and endless curiosity set them apart, and those qualities helped them accomplish something extraordinary: writing their very first book, “The Strand Prophecy,” while they were still in elementary school.
Their school journey wasn’t always smooth—like many students, they faced their share of challenges.
